Wesley Greene, Garden Historian:

Research on 18th-century vegetable varieties is an ongoing project conducted by Colonial Williamsburg's landscape department to identify varieties suitable for use in The Revolutioniary City gardens. The scope of this project is to provide guidelines for all major groups of vegetables. This is a large and complex field of inquiry and input from historians, gardeners or other interested parties is welcomed.
