Last Monday the Delegates for the several counties and corporations in this colony convened at the town of Richmond.

The third Virginia Convention met July 17 - August 26 in Richmond. Peyton Randolph presided. This convention provided for the annual election of its delegates, created local county committees, and established a Committee of Safety to act as an executive body between sessions.
