    You'll find several recipes in our Garden-to-Table article. Here's one more: A ginger cider that also features cinnamon and cardamom.

    Ginger Pumpkin Cider

    Serves 6-8

    1/2 gallon apple cider
    1 cinnamon stick
    10 cardamom pods
    1 star anise
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 lemon, juiced
    1 pie pumpkin, peeled, seeded and juiced
    1/4 cup fresh ginger, crushed and juiced

    • In a large soup pot over medium heat, add all the ingredients and heat through
    • Strain
    • Garnish each cup with a cinnamon stick and serve in a mug or cider glass
